Cons

Can be tiring to use when used on a large expanse of deep pile carpet.
Not as good as an upright cleaner on carpets
On top of the canister there are two identical shaped foot operation switches. One turns the machine on and off while the other is to retract the generously long power cord. As each switch looks virtually the same, it is very easy to depress the wrong one.
Hose does not spin completely around so tangles very easily.
Cheaply made attachments.
Made of poor quality and seems to have quite a few problems with attachment breakage.
Small bag capacity.

Though the Hoover Windtunnel S3639 Vacuum cleaner does a good job with the power nozzle equipped canister; it is still no match for the uprights ability to lift flattened carpet pile. However it is ergonomically designed and is easy to use. Reviewers top mark this Hoover more often than any other full sized canister vacuum cleaner on the market. People especially like the windtunnel's nozzle design, which helps stops dirt from being spit back out of the machine. It also performed well in emissions test.
