What a machine
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
You know you can spend alot of money on vacums. Or you can just stick to what works for you. I have owned Hoovers for 25 years and have always been pleased. I inherited a bagless dirt Devil when I remarried 3 yrs back and it is crap. I bought this on amazon for an amazing price and just love it. The cord is a little short. The accesory hose is a little stiff. But boy does it pick up the dirt and rolls almost by itself.nuff said

Pretty good product
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This is my second one. This vacuum does a great job on laminate floors and OK on smaller area rugs using the roto-brush. Easy to maneuver, could use a little longer cord but lightweight enough to move from plug to plug. I only give it 4 stars as I have to modify the filter bag with wire so it doesn't collapse and overheat the motor.

It is basically all plastic construction and my first one did break at the swivel head after 3 years. But for the money it has good value and cleans well.

A LOT OF EXTRA WORK!!!!
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
First of all, I'm a committed "bagged" user! This item seemed like a good option since I just rented an apt (approx. 600 sf.) with new wall to wall carpeting.

My first surprise was the "droppings" of new carpet fuzz which, when I had to stop and pick them up, were not soft but "congealed fuzz balls of various sizes. If I didn't pick them up, the number of droppings increased and it seemed as if the vacuum lost pick up efficiency.

My second surprise was the amount of fuzz formed around the brush and further up the intake tube some of which was soft fuzz! After cleaning all of this out by hand {about a gallon size container worth of this comfination) from the bottom of the vacuum over the course of using three times, I checked the bag, read the manual again, and started saving this accumulation to return to Hoover!

Needless to say, I am disappointed...in addition to moving cross country, this was NOT a welcome activity! I admit I'm holding on to the hope that after a couple more vacuums of the new carpet, this extracurricular activity will abate...I may be losing faith, however, since my last of four uses seemed not to be an improvement. What to do, Hoover? P.S. Expect my package of fuzz??? Return the vacuum???

pretty good for the price
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
so i have had this vacuum for about a year now. i like it alot. the only thing is now i have been smelling the motor over working. i dont know if i just need to replace the belt or what( it could just be the extra dust and pollen in the air filter.. and it is due to replace the filter now). but it works very well. ive been keeping up with the easy maintenance of it. also, people seem to not be very creative with the hose attachment storage. put the long darker attachment inside the long lighter color attachment, then put in on the side with the darker edge on the bottom rest. when you have it, you will know what im talking about. i dont understand why no one else thought of this. all and all, great vacuum.

Very Pleased!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
After months of searching reviews everywhere on the net and talking with people, I decided to give this vacuum a try. I must say as soon as it arrived I dragged it into the house (it is a heavy box) and set it up. To my surprise the only thing I had to do was take the two screws and screw on the handle and take some tape off of it. Within 5 minutes it was ready to run, I went through my whole house which consists of 1 carpeted room, 2 hardwood floored rooms with area rugs, and a kitchen and shoe room which houses a litter box for our 4 cats. This vacuum did FANTASTIC! I have not see suction like this in forever! It actually pulled up my runner in the kitchen which my old vacuum didn't do even when I first got it. I can not say enough about this vacuum. The bags keep the dirt inside and does NOT blow it all over your clean floor or rooms. If you have a little extra cash to spare, spend it here this vacuum is a wise descion all around!

Cleans really well
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This vacuum has some serious suction! The first time I used it, my carpets looked like new. I also really like the Green/Red clean indicator light. My only complaint is that its hard to manuever (heavy, long cord & hard to turn).

Nice Vac, Great Price, Weak Belts
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
So far i really like everything about this vacuum except for the fact that the belt broke after using it only 3 times. The belts were not easy to come by locally, i just happened to find some on clearance at Target. Replacement took about 5 minutes and was easy enough, i just think it was ridiculous that it lasted such a short time. If not for that, this would have gotten a 5 star review.

VacuumSucker
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
This vacuum is very loud and does not work. The accessory attachment holder broke within the first month. We had a Hoover for about 15 yrs and it worked great. Pardon the pun but this vacuum sucks and not in a good way.

OK Vacuum, Messy to Clean
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I have owned this vacuum for about three years and use it every week. I have three cats and with a lot of determination I can get the cat hair up from carpets and furniture (but it is a lot of work.) However, my major complaint with this vacuum is cleaning the canister. This is my first bagless, so I don't know if this is a common issue, but emptying out the canister will cause dust to fly everywhere. I have learned to strategically place the canister completely inside a large garbage bag before I tip it out. This minimizes the dust flying, but it still gets on me and then the counter from the empty canister. It's such an unpleasant chore, that I am seriously considering going back to bags, even with the inconvenience of having to always have them on hand.

Defective right from the Start
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
The vacuum seemed like it would fit my needs, but I will never know. It's sitting, repacked with all the parts and screws and paperwork inside the box - along with the extra bags I purchased - waiting for UPS to pick it up and deliver it back to AMAZON. The vacuum did not work. It has a beater brush - agitator - which is supposed to spin when the vacuum is in carpet position. Guess what? You got it. The bar did not spin. When I followed the directions to see if perhaps it wasn't set up right, the belt - which was supplied and in the machine when I got it - didn't connect with the rest of the machine. The machine also rattled like crazy and did not feel solid. I would have let that go if the machine worked. Big disappointment. So now I wait for UPS to pick up, Amazon to get it, and credits to come back to me. What an unnecessary hassle. Surprised because Amazon usually is a lot better than this.
