head broke

The head sheared off after 6 months of use. Impossible to find a service center that is still in business.

This vacuum works well picking up dirt and pet hair. It’s lightweight, and moves easily. My only problem is that I can only vacuum one small room before I have to empty out the dirt cup and shake out the filter. And that’s a messy job! I was looking for something that would be really easy to use, and this isn’t working out that way for me. With pets, I end up having to sweep the room first, and then vacuum to make sure that all of the dust and hair gets picked up. Otherwise, I’d be emptying the cup every few minutes. If you don’t have pets, maybe it would be more efficient.
Great for wood/laminate floors

Initially bought to use on our hard wood floors, works great when just used in suction mode. Doesn’t scratch the wood. Bought another one to use at office for laminate flooring. Does a great job of picking up dirt/pebbles. On the laminate I use the beater bar. This floor is already scratched, so I don’t know if that makes a difference. Have never used on carpet. Have used both the Swiffer and Shark cordless, neither compare to this one. Both the Swiffer and Shark are now in the garbage.
Perfect 2nd vac or dorm room vac

My college dorm is like any other: we eat a lot of chinese food and the room gets messy all the time. I’ve been researching small vacs for a while and now that I’ve finally had the chance to try out the Hoover I have to say that I am really, really impressed. The vac had no trouble dealing with dust and small particles and it has extremely powerful suction for its small size. It also easily picks up dirt with a single swipe or two thanks to the roller. The swivel head is also a handy aid and the cord is long enough to get to every corner of the room. Finally, it’s pretty quiet, not anywhere near as loud as a comparable Dirt Devil.
Now, the vac isn’t perfect. I wish they had included a brush to help clean off the dirt from the filter (otherwise you’re stuck banging it agaisnt the trash or picking it off with your fingers - an extremely messy ordeal in either case). Other than that, this vac suits all my needs. I highly recommend it as a quick-up vac or a vac for a dorm room.
excelent small liglht vaccuum

we have had the vacuum for over a year and it works great. we use it for hardwood and a few scatter rugs. we have 2 dogs and it gets the pet hair up with no problem. it has a switch to press on the handle for carpet. i think it is really best for hard surfaces, have not used on large carpet areas.
my wife likes it due to it’s light weight. the only con is the cord could be longer.

The stick vac arrived in the promised amount of time before Christmas. It was a gift for my mother and she loves it. It’s easy to use, light weight ~ she loves the brush roller and the very best part is that it’s bagless!

This is a great product, especially if you have tile or wood floors and animals that shed. It is small, but powerful. Quick and easy to use. This is one of the best purchases I have made. I liked it so much, I bought one for my son. He loves it also.

This vacuum was a replacement for a cordless stick vac, so obviously I am really pleased with the suction that this corded vac provides. Does great in corners and near the baseboard. Wheels move and turn with ease. Emptying the cup is easy, I empty it and then take it outside and give it a good shake to get rid of the embedded dust. I have a pug so dog hair is my main reason for the vac on our tile and laminate flooring. The switch for the brush roller is fantastic, gets fuzzies and hair right off the rugs without a problem. The only thing I can really say that I miss is possibly a longer cord by about 6′, and maybe an attachment of sorts to use on furniture etc..but all in all I am very pleased with the purchase of this Hoover vac!

I unpacked the vacuum when it first arrived and the Power Nozzel was cracked
where you attach it to the handle. I called Hoover and was told there were no
replacement parts. It worked fine but I was concerned about the crack getting worse. Hoover said they would check and call me. I actually had to call them
three times over as many months. They told me to cut off the electric cord and
the label and ship the vacuum back to them and they would replace it. I checked with UPS and Fed Ex and found it would cost me close to $50 to have them pack it
and ship to Hoover. I called Hoover and asked them to ship me a replacement and
I would use that packaging to return the damaged vacuum. They refused to do this.
They also said the shipping charges were my responsibility. Well I still have the cracked one. It is a great product but I do feel cheated and will never buy another Hoover product.

We got this vacuum primarily to clean our area rugs, and it does just that! With 2 cats, we need something that works, and this does the trick. It is easy to maneuver around, and pretty easy to clean.

There are several reasons I love this vacuum:
1. It is compact and easy to store in a nook or small area.
2. The see-through canister lets you see if it needs emptying.
3. Goes from hard floor to a carpet brush at the touch of a switch (conveniently located up high on the vacuum, I might add.)
4. The carpet brush has enough suction to really do the job, but doesn’t suck up the edges of a carpet mat like a regular vacuum does. It really freshens and fluffs the carpet mats, as well.
5. Nice, long electrical cord.
6. A swivel head that maneuvers easily.
7. A twisting cord hook that makes it easy to wrap and unwrap the cord.
We use this vacuum almost daily to clean up after three cats who are very vigorous about tossing cat litter around. This is a must have if you have small, daily cleanups or simply want to keep hard floors or small carpeted areas. spotless.

Pretty good product

This is my second one. This vacuum does a great job on laminate floors and OK on smaller area rugs using the roto-brush. Easy to maneuver, could use a little longer cord but lightweight enough to move from plug to plug. I only give it 4 stars as I have to modify the filter bag with wire so it doesn’t collapse and overheat the motor.
It is basically all plastic construction and my first one did break at the swivel head after 3 years. But for the money it has good value and cleans well.
